A small town urbanite album

I’ve been busy this week designing a whole wack of albums, and this is one I thought I’d share.  I did a Small Town Urbanite session a few months back with these girls. We had a great time just fooling around about town and shooting some fun stuff. The first two shots are what the albums look like, and then the rest are the layouts of the girls pages……

Fall Wedding

I’ve basically wrapped up shooting until after Christmas, aside from a wedding this week, and a couple newborns scheduled to arrive in December. I’m now sitting at my computer for the next three weeks straight, getting people’s albums, orders, montage designs, etc. done. So because I have no new images to share, I thought I’d post some of the wedding orders that I’m working on. There are always so many pictures to choose from when blogging a wedding, so now’s my chance to show a few more. I’ve got two other weddings that I just wrapped up doing post processing work to, so I’ll be adding some of those as well in the next little while. Stay tuned!

Last reminder!!

This is the last reminder I’ll post. Christmas orders must be in by December 1st to be guaranteed for Christmas delivery. Please get your orders in A.S.A.P.  :)

My perfectly shaped buns ;)

I don’t get to making buns very often, and when I do, they’re always misshapen, and strange looking. Well, on sunday afternoon I made buns, and I was just sooooo stinkin’ impressed with myself!! This is THE best batch of buns I’ve EVER made! They looked like bakery buns :)  I was so excited I got my camera out to document this momentous occasion. It’s the little things that make me happy!

From the very beginning….

My story with this couple began way back in December, 2004, when I first photographed their engagement session. After that, of course, came the wedding, in the fall of 2005.  Fast forward a few years, and we have a new life awaiting arrival. Skip another month or so, and we meet this little man. Now here we are coming up on a six month birthday for Mr. C.  It’s soooooooo cool following people’s lives, and creating images to represent each stage!!

Family

I had a fun time with this family last week. Sorry it’s taken me a few days to get these images posted! My little guy came in the studio and made fast friends with the little boy. They were playing like they’d known eachother for years! The son even asked if he could get a picture taken with my little man, but unfortunately, mine was not in the mood for being infront of Mom’s camera once again. He outdid himself last week I guess!

These kids were lots of fun, and we got some good personality shots of them! I’m loving the one of the littlest daughter. Too cute!

Found another good one!

I hadn’t even looked through the whole batch of images I got of my boys the other night, because I was so excited about that first one that I captured, and loved so much. Then I found this one. It’s totally perfect in it’s own way too! They only lasted for a second doing a real pose, then they started goofing around, and this is what was frozen in time.  :)

Black

This is a bit of a sway from my regular style of shooting. This family has come before, and we wanted to do something different from last time. Since they came in black, I thought we’d do some low key shooting, and go for a more intimate look. I like the way they turned out! I also used a background that I rarely use, because it’s always got a whole slew of cloth backdrops hanging over it. I’m glad I went to the effort to clear it off, because I love the shot of the daughter on it!

Another reunion!

Last weekend I got to photograph another large reunion, but this time the weather was not good for outdoor pics. It was a tight squeeze in the studio, but we did it! We also got a few cute ones of the only great granddaughter in attendance.

Canvas worthy

In three years, this is the first picture, since my little guy was a month old, that I’ve got one of the two boys together, that I really love. I was trying out a new background, and he was running around the studio, as always, with no shirt on. My 7 year old came in and I told him to take off his shirt, run in front of my light, and hug his brother. This was the first shot I got of them, and only one that even remotely turned out!  The stars have aligned!!!!!  I’m so happy I got this image. I am getting a 36 x 24 inch canvas printed right away! Anyone who’s seen my studio style knows that I keep it simple. Sometimes I think that maybe it might get boring to people, but I am so drawn to these pure, simple images. No prop or fancy pose could have made this any better.
