I was just about to go to bed last night at around 12:30 and I looked out the window to see the most beautiful snowfall. I decided to grab my camera, tripod and umbrella and head out for a quick couple shots. I’m so glad I did. Some of my favorite images I’ve ever done are from the middle of the night! I’m glad no one drove by, as I was standing in the middle of the road in my husband’s big Sorels and my pajamas. :)
It was incredibly peaceful outside at that time of night. It reminded me so much of one evening when I lived in the south of Sweden. We had a very wet, heavy snowfall one night in the little town where I lived, and we all ran out in the dark and enjoyed the experience. Our area of Sweden was quite mild, as we were close to the southern coast, but we had a perfect blanket of snow all winter. Everytime we get a snowfall like this, I can feel the Holsbybrunn air, and it takes me back in an instant.
