Sorry it’s been so long since my last post. I spent three days attending the Professional Photographers of Canada National convention. So now I’ve come home with all sorts of new ideas and plans!
Now, onto the post. :) The day after I returned home, I headed back out to Indian Head where I got to shoot a grad student in her home town. I love being able to go to different locations to photograph grads, but with two kids at home, I don’t usually take on too many evening sessions out of town. I did, however, book this girl in, because though she likely doesn’t remember me, we go waaaay back. When I first moved to Grenfell, I took on a waitressing job (something I said I would NEVER do!) and this girl’s mom and grandparents ran the restaraunt. It turns out that I really loved waitressing, and this girl was only about 7 years old when I was working there. I probably haven’t seen her since 1999, so she’s changed a little! I enjoyed meeting her as an adult and catching up with her mom. Here’s a collection from our evening together.

Her slow pitch team was playing a game the night of our session, so we popped by to say hi and hit a few balls. This girl can crank it too! Heels and a ballgown did not stop her from showing the crowd how it was done.
