On thursday afternoon I headed out for Broadview to do a full afternoon of sessions. I accidentally posted these completely backwards from the actual chronological order, but that’s o.k. Baby was my first session, and he was super happy and easy going, so session one = perfect! In this post, you will see a gorgeous colorful quilt. I would like to give some praise to it’s maker, Nadine Schmidt. She’s one of my most faithful blog followers, so I wanted to say hi and commend her on such a beautiful job on that quilt. Very cute!
Session #2 was the girl, one of my 2010 grad students. We went out to her farm, which had so many great photo ops. I nearly broke my ankle about 5 or 10 times, stepping in gopher holes, but her yard was filled with the coolest spots. Old cars, horses, dead fallen trees. A goldmine for my style of photography.
My final session of the afternoon is the brother of a grad student I photographed a few years ago. He’s also a 2010 grad, and has a passion for baseball. We went to the ball diamonds and got some shots there, then cruised around town for a few other spots. Again, I could have broken some bones, as I was setting my ladder up in places where ladders shouldn’t go. Very unstable ground does not make for good balance on a step ladder. Thank goodness he was Mr. Supermodel, and I only had to take 2 or 3 images to get a deadly one. I love this first one. He’s looking so very fierce! And don’t worry mom, there are some big smiley ones too. I managed to force a few out of him

BEAUTIFUL photos! your color is stunning in all of these. Love the old car shot, that’s a great one. Everyone looks so comfortable in your photos.
Thanks for coming to Broadview Tatum. Jenna, Jacob and Elyse all enjoyed their afternoon with you. I’m so glad you didn’t break an ankle in our pasture taking those amazing photos of Elyse, lol. I can hardly wait to see the rest!
