Well, it’s that time of year again. I think this is probably our 6th session together, as we get together around her birthday every year. I posted her pics on here last year, and even got to have my own picture taken with her. I can’t say anything more than I did last time. She is the sweetest thing, and I just want to hug her every time I see her! She’s got a cheery, sunny personality, and it just so much fun to be around. 
This poor guy was not impressed to be at the studio. I felt so terrible for him, cause he was just not wanting to have anything to do with me for the first little while. Eventually though mom and I started visiting, and slowly he got a bit more comfortable with his surroundings, and we were able to sneak a few shots of him. Once we moved outside though, it was a whole new story! Big smiles, and full tilt running through the snow. He was having the time of his life!! It was so sweet to see how exciting it was for him to be let free, and just play to his hearts content. Studios generally aren’t 2 year old’s favorite places to be. But get them outside, and the real them comes out.
He was running up the side of snow banks and grinning from ear to ear ↑ and even when he fell in the snow ↓ , completely covered and cold, he was still giddy with excitement!
I’ve photographed this little guy’s older sisters a number of times, and today I got to put him in front of the camera. He wasn’t all smiles at first, but I eventually squeezed a few out.
So glad I caught this shot above. I had been propping him up on the arm of the chair with my foot while I was shooting (and at the same time also making stupid noises, and playing peek-a-boo and tickling him with my toes. Whew!). Once I took my foot away, he quickly flopped down, and looked completely exhausted!
I love this little chicky’s teeth! So cute. I could have put another dozen shots on here, but this is what I chose for a couple favorites….
This little cutie was a flower girl in a wedding I did a few years ago, and I had thought then that she was a really quiet kid. I was wrong! She was so much fun, and full of energy. Mom and dad let her and I fool around, and goof off for about an hour, and we came away with some cute shots. Here you go Ms. M!
On saturday I got to meet two little girls that I’ve been waiting a year to meet!! I photographed this couple’s wedding a few years back, and I have kept in touch with her via facebook. I’ve watched their twins grow for the last 12 months, and I was able to be part of the celebration of their first birthday! They are the sweetest things, and were both in a great mood. We photographed inside and out, together and separate, and ended off the session back in the studio with a few birthday cupcakes. I iced them before they got to the studio, with hopes that they’d make a real good mess, but they were fairly delicate and careful with them. Thanks so much for coming in and taking a few hours to spend with me on your busy busy weekend. Happy birthday ladies!
I had another visit from my photographer friend Jocelyn and her family. I had done their pregnancy pictures in late summer, and now their second little man has joined the family! It was a busy session, as sessions with toddlers and babies always are! I love how dad’s bright red pops off the white background.
My first set of twins!! I photographed this couple’s wedding a few years ago, and she called in the fall to let me know that they had twin girls, and wanted to come in with them for a photo session. It was a challenge for sure, but it was so rewarding to get a few big smiles, at the same time! We had one pretty sad little girl, but after a lot of peek a boo games, and me jumping around like an idiot, we managed to squeeze 4 or 5 smiles out of her! Stay tuned, as I have 1 year old twin girls coming this saturday as well. This was my warm up session
Again, I apologize for long delays in posting sessions on here. This is from last monday! I had a family in the morning, and another in the afternoon. This first little guy really made me work to get the smiles! I didn’t have as much luck as daddy did, but we eventually got a couple small ones.
The second family came quite a distance to get their family pictures done, so I really appreciate all the effort you guys put in for your session. It was awesome meeting you!
I had a full day on saturday with two families (including a 1 month old, a 4 month old, a 4 year old and a pug!) and a couple of girls who wanted a friend session. I can’t believe all the babies I’ve had in lately! I don’t normally get alot of babies in the studio, other than newborns. It was a fun challenge, and they were all so well behaved! Enjoy the preview everyone.
